Volkswagen Faults? We’ll Find Them
Unfortunately, unexpected faults can occur with your VW vehicle at any time. This can catch you off guard, ultimately leaving you without your car.
Our technicians use the latest technology and fault-finding techniques to limit the time taken to diagnose your fault. This not only saves you time, getting you back on the road faster – but also saves you money.
Our initial inspection is £72 plus VAT, enabling us to carry out an hour’s work to diagnose your car’s fault. We cover the full range of potential faults, ranging from Climate Control, ABS, Airbag, Engine Management, Traction Control. We are also able to diagnose faults which don’t show a warning light, such as faulty windows or unusual noises.
If a warning light does appear on the dash panel, it is important to have it checked as soon as possible. Certain warning lights can signify deeper issues within your car, potentially causing break downs in the middle of a journey. Prolonged driving with warning lights showing will also cause further damage to pre-existing issues, meaning more work, and more money spent.
All of our technicians are manufacturer trained, so you can be certain that your Volkswagen is in good hands. Once diagnosed, you will be given a fixed quote based on our findings for the repair your car needs.
Sometimes, one fault can unfortunately lead to another. If this is indeed the case, you are free to return to Sultas to discuss further work. If you do choose our team to undertake your repair, work will be carried out to the highest standard.
Visit our warning light page to see what you’re dealing with, and feel free to contact us to book an appointment. If you are unsure which light is illuminated please call us on 0113 279 7992.

What does a Volkswagen diagnostic check involve?
A Volkswagen diagnostic check scans your vehicle’s electronic systems to detect faults in the engine, transmission, brakes, and other key components. This helps identify issues early before they lead to costly repairs.
How much does a Volkswagen diagnostic check cost?
Our Volkswagen diagnostic check costs £72 plus VAT. This includes a full system scan and expert analysis of any fault codes detected.
How long does a Volkswagen diagnostic check take?
A standard diagnostic check typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, but additional time may be needed if further investigation is required.
When should I book a diagnostic check for my Volkswagen?
If your dashboard warning lights come on, you notice performance issues, or experience unusual noises or vibrations, a diagnostic check can help pinpoint the problem.
Can I still drive my Volkswagen if a warning light is on?
It depends on the warning light. Some, like the check engine light, indicate an issue that needs attention soon, while others, such as the oil pressure or brake warning lights, require immediate action. If you’re unsure, book a diagnostic check as soon as possible.
Will a diagnostic check fix the issue with my Volkswagen?
A diagnostic check identifies fault codes and potential problems, but further inspection and repairs may be needed to resolve the issue.
Does a diagnostic check include resetting warning lights?
If the issue has been resolved, we can reset the warning lights. However, clearing the codes without fixing the underlying problem will likely result in the warning light returning.
